About Lisa

artwork-01Born in Hamilton, New Zealand before travelling the world and eventually settling on the NSW Central Coast, Lisa Haymes incorporates her international experience and unique eye to create the distinctive style for which her photography is developing.  Her images are, at the same time, sophisticated and down-to-earth, artistic and honest.

Graduating with distinction in photography at National Art School in Sydney and also studying experimental drawing and architectural theory, Lisa has used her creative skills as an assistant art director and props buyer for television's Better Homes and Gardens (Channel 7) and Mornings with Kerry-Anne Kennerley (Channel 10), and also freelance assistant art director on major advertising contracts with Levi's, Berlei, McDonalds and Lotto.  She has also worked as a photographic assistant on a long list of magazines including Vogue, Madison, Marie Claire and Inside Out.

Today Lisa runs Lisa Haymes Photography from her home on the edge of the Bouddi National Park.  Lisa's gentle and positive approach to life filters through her lens. Her boutique style allows her to take the time to get to know you and to capture your personality in a family portrait or on the journey of your wedding day so you can still recognise yourself in the photo, but also see yourself in a new light.

Lisa has exhibited her artwork in galleries and shops on the Central Coast.  In her work she focuses on four areas:  Architectural Photography, Wedding Photography, Family Portraits and Product Photography.  With her artwork she is currently using the natural environment as her inspiration to create beautiful pieces of fine art

As a mother of two, the future of Lisa Haymes Photography is in education through images and stories and she is currently working on a book inspired by the ocean and the Angophora tree forest that surrounds her home.
